How many of you want to live in Hawaii?
All this time I've been pining away after Tennessee and what happens? I'm moving to Hawaii of all places! Never saw that coming! I'm going to live with my daughter on an army base on Oahu and I'm going to take a head first dive into saving my darned life and beating this cancer. I'm not going back to Ca afterward either, I'm going to the home of my heart, Tennessee. EVERYONE asks me "Why on EARTH would you want to move to Tennessee when you could live in Hawaii!!!??" like I'm off my nut, but Tennessee is just the place for me. I'm sure I'll love Hawaii, it's lush and green like Tn, but... I'm sure you all know what I mean. Why is Tennessee the home of YOUR heart?

Not me. I would get Island Fever real quick. Fond that out when I live in PR for a year. I do hope that you beat the cancer and make the move to the place of tour dreams.

Lived in Oahu for 4 years,loved it.Fun,beautiful.but after that I needed to leave the Island.Claustiphobia

I'm with you in more ways than one. As soon as someone buys my house, Mrs Dude and I are off to Jonesborough TN. As far a Hawaii goes. Who wants perfect weather every day.

No I have no desire to live in Hawaii or even go there. I dream of living in North Carolina or your beloved Tenn. I prefer both because they have want I love, the mountains, waterfalls, fall colors, four seasons. I do wish you all the best in your move and fighting your cancer.

Been there many times. Nice place to visit for R&R, but the humidity and the same ol weather gets old after awhile. Some of the storms they have can be scary too. Besides once you've seen and done everything in Hawaii, you're trapped on Islands and no where else to go. Oh yes the homes, termites, and the cost of living is horrendous.
Otherwise as I said, it's a nice place to get away to for awhile for R&R.

Would live there in a heartbeat. Did it for 4 years...then another year...then another 6 months in the last 15 years. Now I just try to figure out how to get back to Active Duty so they'll send me there again!!

I am crazy about Hawaii. I love their style of living. The beaches, the trend everything is special there. It’s my dream to live in Hawaii.
