Default Want to buy telephone directory for east Tennessee areas

Hello,
This is my 1st. post to this message board. I am researching every possible angle that I can think of about moving to the East Tennessee area. I would like to know how/where to purchase a phone directory( white and yellow pages) for Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Townsend area. If anyone here has an outdated (recent), I would buy them from you and pay for shipping.
Also, what are the local sales taxes for the area? Is there anywhere that the cost of living can be researched? I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.
Randy Hiles

Default WhitePages.com..?

B: Maybe you could find your info right over the web search..?? There is such a locator called WhitePages.com.. etc to find numbers across the country. Way of locating old High School Alumni, etc.. Maybe also YellowPages.com. , Just a quick idea, also that local chamber of commerce.

Salary.com also has a cost of living calculator toward the bottom of their home page. If you type in "cost of living calculators" into a search engine, there are a bunch out there. I just can't think of the names right now. As far as the phonebook, you could try and call Bellsouth and see if you can buy one from them. I do know that the airports usually have stacks of them free of charge. That would only help if you were in the area though.

You can also call Embarq, that is the local phone service in the area, They might send you one for free? Local sales tax for that area is 9.50% on everything, including groceries, however property taxes are VERY little and there is no state income tax.

When we were going to move back to Boise, I contacted Dex, at directorysource.com and was able to buy the cd for about $9.

You can order phonebooks, or cd phonebooks directly from the telephone company in the area that you will be moving to.
If it's Bellsouth, you can go to bellsouth.com/bapco/books.html
