Military brought me here - the people and the environment kept me here.

Another thing to be mindful of is some places are better than others. Reading the local news and forums helps to give a better feel for that.

When our community in So. Cal. started going sour we started looking at making a move. After months and months of research we made our first trip to the Nashville area to have a look. It was love at first sight! There was so much color everywhere that it just blew our minds. In our neck of the woods, it is mostly desert. During our visit we encountered so many nice folks. The pace of life was so much more laid back than here in So. Cal. So after that visit and a few more, we decided that Tennessee would be our new home. We sold our home, shipped our stuff and due to family circumstances, we had to turn around and come back to So. Cal. What a heart break it was to leave! Our plan is to end up there eventually. So, for now, I get my fix reading all the TN threads and learning even more about the area. By the time we get there, I'll feel like I've been there forever!

Hik, that one sentence says it all for me! I so hope I can be saying that about TN someday soon!
