Yeah, it's the poor economy.

People's grocery bills are downs . . . their liquor bill is going up however.

I'm just kidding!

Don't laugh. I almost invested in Anheuser Busch, a few months back, for that very reason. I didn't because the InBev takeover talk caused the stock to be too volatile.

But booze stock is one of the few stocks that would be a good bet.

Booze and Campbell Soup. One of the only stocks to actually make money!

Oh, you are right! I completely forgot about Campbell's, not that I had the foresight to realize it would go up.

So, if we follow that line of reasoning, then this is also a solid investment.

Don't forget McDonalds stock! For a lot of reasons, including the cost of potatoes, they are doing quite well!

You know what? We were watching "Fast Money" several months ago. I guess it was in the spring. They were "poo-poohing" McDonald's and I said to Fred, "Are they nuts?" Sure enough, it went up.

I could never be a daytrader, though. I only get those feelings in spurts.

I know the food prices where I shop (Ingles in Sweetwater) has gone up on everything that I buy
so, when I stopped at Wal-Mart the other night on the way home and saw those deals, I couldn't help myself with those prices.
it will be just less that I buy at the grocery store next week

My grocery bill is still rising. I paid 3.99 for a gallon of milk yesterday. The excuse for groceries going so high was because of the rise in the cost of shipping due to gas prices. Well I don't see grocery prices going down now that the price of gas has dropped.

Food prices should be going down now that gas prices have fallen. That was the excuse...er reason...they gave for them going up.
