I would like to locate a list of the safest cities in TN. Does anyone have a good site for checking out this info?

Crime statistics are given here at city-data.com at each city's city-data site.

You can also look at realestatebook.com. Go to the area that you are looking at and there is a section called neighborhood data. It will tell you everything you need to know about that city/town.

I too would like to know. My research so far comes up with Bristol(380)Clarksville(400) as two safe(r) cities, both also happen to have more affordable housing.

Thanks. Cookeville's prices are pretty high, id be looking at $100k for a modest starter house without a basement. I want basement! Maryville appears to be a nice safe suburb of Knoxville but it looks like a haven for the rich. Those prices make me feel dizzy, I seriously wonder how they afford those houses. Almost as bad/expensive as north FL

I have recently seen 2br houses in Maryville, with basement, selling for $120k.

You really just have to look hard. Also, new starter-type houses in TN are almost exclusively built on slab, with few exceptions. If you want a basement you have to look at houses built pre-1970.
