Hardwood Flooring Employment in Tennessee?
Hello Everyone,
I am fairly new to this Forum and in desperate need of assistance. We have 6 month old and are currently living in the small town of Aiken, South Carolina. Most jobs around here are available in Augusta, GA (20 minutes away) or in Columbia (roughly 40 minutes away). My husband works in the hardwood flooring business as it was very popular in newer/older homes here in Aiken. However, with the current "housing" market many jobs have been put on hold. As ppl don't have money to spend on their homes (that is, if they still have a home) many ppl are not refinishing their floors. My question is this.. how is market for hardwood floors in Tennessee? With it being extremly popular for cabin rentals I assume the demand for a good hardwood flooring professional is needed. My husband currently operates as a self contractor and prefers to be employed by a local hardwood company versus doing it on his own. Any advice on what areas in Tennessee would be a good source for employment for his line of work?
