Sorry, I just couldn't help it. We had more than enough to share last winter. And this was in Southern Maine. In some places up north they recorded almost 18 feet last winter.

Just rain here in Tri-Cities tonight. This maybe one of those rare times where the plateau and Knox get the snow and Tri-Cities doesn't. It happens. Even though we are closer to the mountains and usually have better chance of snow, if systems come from west to east verses north to south, this is what happens.
Boy is my youngest gonna be ticked if he wakes up in the morning and he has to get on the bus because there is no snow.....hehehhehhe, But momma won't mind.

We have about 2 inches right now but it has slowed up. The trucks didn't make it out before it hit so I walked down to the highway and it is snow over ice. I'm stuck here for at least a day unless I walk to the store and its a couple mile walk to the nearest store. I'll try and take some pictures tomorrow morning and post.

Zip. Zero. Nada.

Kid is at school. She woke me up with this question: "Am I going to be able to spend the day with you, Mommy?" Seems like everyone around us had school closings, though. Here's the list.

Anderson County Closed
Blount County Closed
Campbell County Closed
Christian Acad./Campbell Closed
Claiborne County Closed
Clinton City Schools Closed
Crossville Christian School Closed
Cumberland County Closed
Fentress County Closed
Grainger County Opening 2 hours late
J. Frank White Acad. Closed
Jefferson County Opening 2 hours late
Morgan County Closed
Oneida Closed
Scott County Closed
Tri-State Christian Acad. Closed
Union County Opening 2 hours late

I don't know. The plateau seems to always get snow when no one else does.

I haven't seen any snow in the past 24 hours. I did see a little ice on the road this morning, but that was only because some of the rain from earlier had run down into the road and then frozen.

I hope those of you who want it get some snow. I just hope that when it comes it's the kind of snow that makes the trees pretty but melts off the roads. I spend enough time looking at the back of semi-trucks on the Interstates, I have no desire to spend two hours looking at back of the same one was going a mile and a half.

Here are some pics I took this morning as the kids & dog were out playing in the yard. It snowed like crazy in our part of Murfreesboro last night! My daughter's 8th birthday is tomorrow and she's super excited to have a snow day on her last day of being 7.

Our Snow Dog, Kodi. He's completely in his element now!
