Ice and Freezing Rain
They are reporting possible freezing rain and ice starting late this afternoon in the northern Middle Tennessee area. Parts of the area are under an ice storm warning.
Bundle up, stay warm, don't fall down . . .

But first . . . rush to Kroger! Don't worry about parking between those pesky yellow lines, this is an emergency.

Funny!
It is incredible how people rush in masses to the grocery store whenever there is a hint of bad weather. These same people obviously don't think ahead and have an emergency plan in place that includes non-perishable food/water supplies. What would they do if a tornado hit in the middle of the night and they didn't have time to go to Kroger? Even the federal government says we should all have an emergency supply since 9/11.

We have a theory in Nashville that Kroger pays the TV stations to make it sound like the world is coming to an end. The weather people will miss it 2 times out of 3, but gee are they proud of themselves for the one time they get it right.

haha Tinman. I know what you are talking about all too well! It was horrible, like the world was ending and the stores were open the very next day. I sure don't miss that!

I went to the store. I have bread! I have bread!
And I'm not sharing. It's every man for himself when it comes to white bread. You people who didn't get to the store in time can just eat your bologna sandwiches on crackers! I'm barricading the door to keep the hordes of breadless people out.
Oh, wait . . . I forgot crackers, and I wanted chili for dinner. Uh, would any of you be willing to share?
