The Tennessee Farm Bureau in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Robin Hood and five well-known Tennessee writers have published, just in time for Christmas, a beautiful coffee table book that celebrates rural Tennessee from past to present. "Tennessee Country: The Land of Their Fathers" moves across our state, season by season, capturing in both pictures and words the beauty of the land and the character of its rural people.
From fifth-generation apple orchards in Unicoi County to ancient red oak trees in Lawrence County "where the owls nest and the butterflies come back to"; from quilting bees and sheep-shearing on the Cumberland Plateau to wheat harvest in Robertson County and beekeepers on Chilhowee Mountain - this book is a show-and-tell testimony to the countryside of Tennessee.

it was actually published in 2005 and just a reprint
