We have been looking at lookout mountain as a possible relocation area. From our research we have found the crime is very low but housing is a little pricey. I would love some input from those familiar with the area.
Thanks so much! ![]() |

P.G. Hello, Central Fla Halfback here. YES your comment is valid if you are looking at Premium property. Deep waterfront river and high Brow views are hottest trends here in Hamilton co. The further north you go in county, for New construction it is possible to get total package around the $100 / Sq ft target. oNE ACRE, wooded views, 1,500 sq ft about $150K.
Chat_______ getting very popular with retiree recruit, even international urban interest, new downtown condos, range $250k to $850K. wRITE MORE, OR PVT MSG IF YOU NEED SPECIFIC info. |

Lookout Mtn definitely is one of our priciest areas but it's worth the money as far as crime, schools and community. If you have kids I can say the elementary is one of our best. They even have their own board, seperate from our Hamilton County board of Education. It is a beautiful area w/some of the most amazing houses. Rock City, the incline and at the foot of the mtn you have St Elmo which is a fast growing rehab community. Great choice!

As much as we like living in Florida, if things don't change, we won't be able to afford to live here in retirement due to property taxes and insurance. So in the meantime, we're keeping an eye on the areas we like, so far east TN and northwest SC are our choices. Thanks for asking! ![]() |
