Default Can anyone tell me about Winchester, Tn?

A friend has asked us to look into Winchester, Tn. since he's moving there. We need out of NH...my husband is a heavy equipment operator and gets layed off earlier every winter. We have children ranging from 2 to 17, so we need a good school system and a house rental for the time being with a yard. ANy info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about Winchester but here is a link to the city info here on this site: http://www.city-data.com/city/Winchester-Tennessee.html

Hopefully someone that has some info on the town will post.

I live in Winchester. Not alot of work here in that field that I know of. It is a great place to live and grow up. Your typical small town lots of festivals, etc. But, Alot of factory workers here have gotten hours cut. You might check surrounding towns such as Manchester or Tullahoma for work. Manchester especially as they have more industry and are located right off the interstate. If I can answer any questions I would be glad to. The Herald Chronicle.com is the local paper and that site also shows rentals and jobs for Franklin ( Winchester) county and Coffee ( Manchester, Tullahoma) county. Hope that helps

Default arogers in winchester, tn

Is that you Buck? If it is you, I know you met a lot of enlisted in your military career. But I flew as your crew chief (Sgt Gary Basey) on many missions, and enjoyed the motorcycle rides we did. Jeff Frey was a medic with us at 326 med, 101st abn, he trys very hard to contact former members of that unit. He wants them to attend the DUSTOFF reunion, I just want to contact old friends. I took over because I use the computer a lot more than he does. And as a retired Deputy Sheriff here in San Diego, CA. I know more avenues to explore than he does.
If this isn't the Al Rogers I'm hoping it is, I'm sorry to have bothered you. If you know that Al Rogers please ask him to email me. I remember he lived in Winchester, TN. I don't want anything from you/him, I don't need any info, doesn't owe me any money, just want to say Hi! to an old friend...
My email is gbasey@cox.net
