Default Hawkins County
I`m looking at property in Mt.Carmel, Hawkins County. Can anyone tell me the good and bad about this area.

not sure of mt. carmel. I recommend you drive the roads and around town. some roads you don't want to live on and others that are great! good luck. I will be moving to TN next year. already have property between rogersville and bulls gap.

Pros- Scenic, scarcely populated, quiet, low cost of living expenditures

Cons- the poorest county in Tennessee (US Census Bureau), far from any decent shopping, no entertainment, little dining (Taco Bell and Wendy's), horrendous schools, crammed to the limit with rednecks, moderately racist, and will absolutely not tolerate homosexuality...An excellent portrayal of all that is Tennessee! Lol
