Cookeville TN Inquiry
I'm looking for information about a relatively new subdivision (Prosperity Point) 4 miles West of Cookeville City limits just off Hwy 70. Restrictions, good views, topography, good road access?
Thank you for your help

I've been there. It's closer to Baxter than Cookeville. The homes look nice and seem to be priced well, but it has that plain look typical of new subdivisions - little in the way of trees, etc. It's on pretty flat land, so there really aren't any views. Still, if I were to move to Cookeville, I'd consider it....

I remember when that subdivision was still a farm and covered with cattle. It is a beautiful place. This past Halloween I took my children trick or treating in that subdivision and I was most impressed at the families that were out on the streets with thier children and the hospitality was wonderful!! It reminded me of Mayberry and Andy Griffin. If I could talk my husband into living in a subdivision it would be the first on my list.

One thing I liked about that subdivision is that it's pretty large for that area. So many of the newer "subdivisions" I looked at around Cookeville were pretty much one street - maybe two - off a main road with a dozen or so houses. Being from Memphis, I'm used to larger subdivisions. The one I live in has about 90 homes - and it's very small by Memphis standards (although it is directly adjacent to two other subdivisions, one of which is very large). Prosperity Point was a little more like what I'm used to, and the prices seemed reasonable.

Thank you all for your feedback about Properity Point. I had some other DM concerning Properity Point and I'm posting it below.
Ther are approx. 50-60 homes on about 20-25 acres. It is fairly congested with
homes on each side and front in back on most streets. It is in the
Baxter area of the county and about a 15 minute commute to Cookeville.

I didn't get to make the pics I promised you today. We had heavy rain when I was down that way. But, I will be back down there tomorrow and make them and post them.
