We are looking for patio home (exterior maintenance provided) communities in Eastern Tenn with with a clubhouse and pool. Want to have a "lock and leave" home. I do like college town living.

Thanks in advance.....

hiknapster, they are homes that are built on a slab (no basement) and are in a gated community with landscaping and mowing taken care of with a monthly fee. They usually have small yards and sometimes a communal building or pool to share.

I know there are some in Kingsport, and there is a nice development real close to the racetrack in Bristol (without a pool, though.)

I'll bet mbmouse or another person on here will have some good answers for you. Good luck to you!

You're not the only one.
I thought maybe it was some other name for a Townhouse. Or, maybe a detached Townhouse.

Hey don't worry about it, I didn't realize there were such things up here, either. I'd only heard of patio homes down in Florida. They're popular in some of Florida's retirement ghettos for the snowbirds who invade, I mean move to Florida in the winters then go back north for the summers.

Sounds like central FL is what you need, Like "The Villages--America's Freindliest HomeTown"...

Oh, I won't be a snow bird, this will be our home but my son lives in Ohio and we visit his family. I want something secure while we are gone thus a patio home sounds good.
