COOKEVILLE — A tree grows in Overton County — a family tree, that is — with branches that reach all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Several ancestors of President Barack Obama, on his mother’s side, have connections to Overton County, with more than one buried just north of Cookeville.
