Moving to Savannah in June 09. Need all the info that can get.
Crime rate? Schools? Employment market?

I'm interviewing for a spot there myself. It's a small town. I don't have any additional info except that houses to buy seem to be available, but finding a place to rent may be difficult. I know there is a WalMart, a Loews, McD's, a Days Inn, a Catholic Church and that's about all I know so far. It's close to Florence, Alabama (45 miles) and also near Mississippi. If I end up moving there too, we may want to talk sometime.

we are looking to live in a samll town with fishing nearby. We are looking for low crime/drug area. We currently live in Detroit MI area and I am unable to find a job anywhere here. Looking for all the TN information that we can get.

No jobs in Savannah at the moment. I have friends who are RN's and they are struggling to find full time employment in this area right now. Hardin County is not a booming metroplis by any means. You would have to drive to Jackson for a job and that gets quite expensive.
