Hmmm....wow - and I was looking at the Tazewell area, too, as I thought that area maybe in commuting range of the LM Knoxville office.

We REALLY like the modulars, and will most likely go that way. We were sooooo impressed with how NICE they looked, and quality built inside. None of the cheapo wall seams. One we saw, when you walked into the foyer, it looked like you were walking into a Tuscan home! We'll definitely put a basement in, when we build. We'll also put in our own kitchen, bathroom, and maybe even put on log siding, as we can get all of that cheaper thru Direct Buy. We renovated our kitchen and bathrooms here for 70% cheaper that way.

I checked online, and yes, you can buy log-siding, and put it on anything! So, I can get my log home cheaper this way!!

blessings, Shen

I have seen several too, they are very nice. Once they are put up you can't tell the difference between them and a regular construction build house. Jim Walters homes are modulars and they are very nice: Two stories, garages, porches and decks. There are several companies that have them.
