Default brownsville tn residents?

Hello out there!
I am the child/grandchild of once Brownsville, TN residents. My grandfather was Thomas Harris, called 'Pappy'. My grandmother's(his wife) name was Willie Sue and they had my father, James. My uncles were Elbert, and Thomas. I checked the 1930 census records and apparently my grandfather's younger brother lived with them also. My aunt Evelyn, was not listed as part of the household. 'Big Daddy' as we called my grand-dad had sisters, Sara and Opal and brothers whose names can't remember, other than an Albert. (I think) All of the above persons are dead and the questions I want to ask, can't be answered....
Anyone know anything about Browsville, TN? Do I still have relatives there? Are you Harris' still there? Any info regarding my "roots" would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for any info you might have.

Try narrowing your search to the "Lower Brownsville Road" area of Haywood County. i dont know how many there are now but back in the 60's there were alot of black Harrises in that area. Good luck!
