Munford is in Tipton County, just north of the Shelby County line. I suppose it's not technically a suburb of Memphis, but it's very close.

The weather around here is hot and humid in the Summer, and mild during the other three seasons. We might get snow once or twice each winter....or we might not - usually no more than a couple of inches. For most of the winter typically highs are probably in the 50s and lows in the 30s. Lows may reach the teens a few times each winter, but it doesn't usually stay that cold for more than a couple of days. Highs in the Summer are in the 80s and 90s....and in the high 90s (and occasionally topping 100 for a few days) during July, August and most of September. Along with the heat comes humidity, so the heat index that time of year is usually 10 degrees or so above the actual temp.

Jobs? Nope. I suspect most Munford residents work in Memphis (or Covington...which is just north of Munford). It's mostly a bedroom community. There are jobs there, but just not a lot - especially in this economy....
