Default looking for info on areas north of Nashville

We moved to Kingsport from Illinois this past summer and absolutely love it! However, my husband is contemplating taking a job that would require us to move to the Nashville area. since I "kinda like" him I have to to along...can someone tell me about communitie north of Nashville, within an hours drive of the city. I am looking for a wood area, that we would be able to purchase a home on at least two acres. Schools are not an issue, pricvacy is.
Thanks

Hopefully you will get a response from someone who lives in these areas currently, but the Joelton/Springfield areas would definitely fit that bill. Heading northeast from Nashville to Hendersonville/Gallatin areas it gets a bit baron, which may be the reason that area is hurt more with tornadoes.

Another thought is the Kingston Springs/Dickson areas, which is west of Nashville out off I40 West-very beautiful.

HTH.

Springfield is a good area with very affordable housing and a very good infrastructure. Has all the ammenities I think one would need. If you have any question feel free to ask.
