I have a place in Sparta but part time there. What did you need to know?

In the early 60s I was driving from Washington,D C to Arkansas pulling a U Haul trailer. I didn't take in to consideration how much more gas it would take & had little money. Driving U S 70, my tank was getting close to empty & I pulled in Hollingsworth Texaco at Sparta. Tried to sell him my spare tire for gas. Instead he filled my tank & gave me $10.00. You have to remember gas was about 25 cents a gallon, so the $10.00 got me through the rest of the trip.
Just wondered if that Hollongsworth family still lived in the area

I will try and get you that info. I have a friend that lives right near the gas station, it may take me a bit to find out for you. If not I will find out the next time I go up there.
