Default 40 MORE things to do in Tennessee

The Tennessean came up with a list of 40 more essential things to do in Tennessee that aren't so Nashville-centric.

http://tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/...5130803&Ref=PH

Which things on this list have you done?

Didn't get to see a full blown re-enactment at Chickamauga, but they had a cannon demonstration that was very interesting.

I walked a bit of the Appalachian Trail yesterday. Not only was it spectacularly beautiful, I met a nice couple from San Francisco who actually quit their jobs so they could hike the entire 2200 miles from Georgia to Maine.

There are so many other things I think should've been on the list that the Tennessean editors didn't include:
  • Boating on one of our beautiful lakes
  • Sun Studios in Memphis
  • The Foothills Parkway in the Smokies
  • Andrew Johnson's home in Greeneville
  • Rugby
  • Big South Fork
  • The Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg
  • Hwy 127 Flea Market

The Andrew Johnson Homestead is very nice. I grew up in Greeneville so I take it for granted, but it is totally worth the trip if you're in NETN.

Thanks for the lists.
A couple of things to add that I can think of--

Attend the harness races at the Lincoln County Fair.
See Rock City.
Attend a revival/tent meeting
Go to the singing at Diana.
See the rhododendrons at Roane Mountain State Park.

I'm sure there are many, many others. To me these are some that are uniquely Tennessee..

And how many of us have NOT seen the "See Ruby Falls" signs on I-75, I-24 and other major roads? Some ads are written on barn tops too! IT took years of seeing those signs, but I finally made it a few years ago.
