I see folks texting on I-40 between Knoxville and Nashville all the time.

The guilty culprits are usually going more than 80 mph and look quite young.

I try to give them a W I D E berth!!!

It takes all my concentration to do one or the other... lol.... I don't have enough brain power to do both at the same time.

Haha... I'm surprised the poll takers think we (ol' TN country hicks) have enough technology to text anyway....lol

kerafaith is on a distinguished road
I do NOT text while driving. If someone sends me a text msg I call them and say "I'm driving down the road what do you want?"

I don't even like texting while sitting at home & am doing nothing. I prefer to just call someone & tell them what I want them to know. Now every now & then texting is ok. Like if I am at work (I work at a truck stop) & need to find the other person working with me I will send them a text saying something like "Help please". But overall I hate texting.

Like I tell my kids, I'm text illiterate.

If I ever wanted to text someone. It would take me a half hour to figure the darn thing out to send a simple message.

I don't text and drive, but if Tennessee has such bad habbits and bent & twisted ways, then why on earth are so many folks either moving here ... or wanting to?
