Jackson~Lone Oak Subdivision-West of Christmasville and North of I-40 (houses, neighborhood)

I am thinking of purchasing a home outside of Jackson, in the Lone Oak subdivision. It is north of Interstate 40, and west of Christmasville Road. I am wondering if this area is good????? Houses are about 3-4 years old, very nice. I am retired and moving from out of state. Is there a mall close to this area, a TJ Maxx, Big Lots, Target????? Do you have to go downtown for these things????

I have read so much unfavorable stuff here on Jackson, I am afraid to even look here, but thought I would post and see what kind of comments I receive. This neighborhood looks nice on google streets....

Hello to my fellow Irishman! I work just 2 miles from Lone Oak. It is a changing neighborhood. Moderate homes occupied by working families. Recently more minorities are moving into that area. The stores yo mentioned are all at Old Hickory mall on north Highland avenue. Not downtown. The mall would be about 4-5 miles from Lone Oak. Good luck!
