We will make the actual move next year, but for now, we are Cookeville homeowners. Now we can kiss (or kick) Southern California GOODBYE. Good luck to your search.
SKYSEA,

Congratulations!!! I hope to be doing the same in about 6 years, but I will be in Monterey, East of Cookeville. I too, will be leaving California (Sacramento area). When you are finally able to make the move, please let us know how things turned out. Best wishes to you and your family.

The move is planned for the end of 2010. It just worked out better economically to buy the house now. What is really neat is the current owners, who like most people in Tennessee are great people, are going to rent back the house while they are building their dream home on family owned farm property. The house in White Plains has a back yard onto the golf course. I can't wait to play my first round. This now makes three groups of our friends that have fled California for the Cookeville area.

I completely understand your reasons for wanting to leave California. I'm sure my reasons are the same. Tennessee is going to be great!

SgtAJC, your original post was right in the middle of our move to Cookeville. PM me with any specific questions that you might have and we will try to help if we can. You will love it here and the real estate is on sale now.
