Hey does anyone know the details on Davy Crockett Days in Lawerenceburg?
I know it's the first week in August, but haven't been able to find much info on it yet.
Also, has anyone ever gone to it?
What did you think?

Wrong town. The Davy Crockett Days I need info on is in Lawrenceburg, and it's the first week in August.

For being Davey Crockett it's hard to find... http://www.state.tn.us/environment/p...vidCrockettSP/ then find the 2009 event calendar and slowly scroll down......

Come step back in time at an annual celebration of Crockett's birthday. A Pre-1840s rendezvous will be
set up in the park and will host a number of activities. There will be shooting competitions, tomahawk
throwing, blacksmithing, fire starting, braintanning, period music, trade goods for sale, and much much
more! The event is co-sponsored by the park and the Davy Crockett Longhunters. There will also be
cake and lemonade on Saturday evening! Camp is open to the public from 7 a.m. til Dark

my wife and i have been there many times,will be there this year,look for sutlers wedge,down towards the pool,stop in and say hello,greybeard and 3d

The first rifle Davy ever owned is on display at a museum in downtown Knoxville. I would have taken a picture, but cameras are forbidden on that floor.  |
