Can anyone tell me their opinion about Lake Ridge Elementary school. Is it a good school? How does it compare to Faimont Elementary? Is that area nice as in decent houses, nice neighbors, low crime? Any info would be helpful. Thank you!

Lake Ridge is a newer school, I believe it was built and opened in the past 5 years. However it is getting full quick and the road out front (Boone's' Creek Rd/ Roan Street) is STILL under construction and a congested area and has been for years. Never did quite figure out what the deal is there. From what I hear, it is a good school. I think Fairmont is better only because it is less crowded, but academically, they are both good.
As for the area around Lake Ridge, there are a BUNCH of big new homes and several developments but the houses seem nice, not cookie cutter style. Crime is low there. It is close to the lake. Nice area, but again, more traffic and congestion than I prefer, but that is only my opinion.
