Boy this is a tough play to post things that interest you. I am not sure of what I can and can't say here. I thought I was being friendly and at the same time, inviting you guys to experience a change of pace whenever possible. Sorry for not meeting your expectations. What do you guys do in the Summer, for starters?

Well, I guess you did some sort of advertising. I wouldn't take it personally. Lots of other posts like that get deleted.

My family has only been in Tennessee for a year and a half, but we love to go to Dollywood, even though we haven't bought our season passes, yet.

Why do you ask?

And welcome to the Tennessee forum.

Thanks for the welcome. And thanks to both of you for your responses. I enjoy the Summer for many reasons, but one of my most exciting reasons is to visit the amusement/theme parks. I don't travel around like I have in the past, but since my children are getting older, I wouldn't mind doing more of it. I haven't been to DollyWood yet, but it's on my To-Go list. My home park here in 'Bama is Alabama Adventure. Heard of it?

Yes, I've heard of it. I'll stick with Dollywood. Sorry.

I would like to visit Birmingham, though.

Listen, B'ham has alot to offer. Many attractions for the young and young at heart. It's more than the thugs that try to cause turmoil in the hoods and inner city areas. It is a diverse city with great suburban areas. It is worthy of paying a visit or two yearly, if you are in the vicinity.
