If you have a current FL CDL it's good here until you get a utility bill in your name and take to the DMV, then you can transfer your FL CDL to TN CDL. My son doesn't have a CDL he has a Class D license. The DMV told my son that any license is good here until you get a utility bill in your name because that's what they now require for proof of residency. He had to wait until he transfered his license before he could transfer his vehicle also. When I transfered my FL CDL I didn't take a road test, but they did screw my license up 3 times before they got it right though..lol.. We have some real winners working in the DMV office here where I live, don't think any of them made it past the 6th grade.
