Default east fork obey river (esp. near wilder area)?

Hi all,

Does anyone know much about this river, esp. near the wilder area? Is it year round? just a creek or a real river? fishing? swimming, etc?

I am looking an isolated place (land or not) near a swimmable river nearish to nashville. hopefully a bit cooler in summer than nashville.

thanks

What I have seen of the river in that area is that there are isolated areas where one could swim and fish, but those places generally are very difficult to get to, posted or are located within a development. The river can be canoed, it is not a roaring river and as is common in the area there are sinks and dry areas.
