Default Knox County Unemployment Lowest of Metro Areas

"Knox County's May unemployment rate of 8 percent continued to be lowest among Tennessee metropolitan areas, although it was up 0.6 percent from April, according to the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Davidson County posted the next lowest rate at 8.6 percent, up 0.6. Hamilton County was 8.8 percent, up 0.6 percentage point, followed by Shelby County at 9.6 percent, up 0.7 percentage point."
