I was born and raised in Cleveland and lived in other SE TN towns most of my life. Cleveland is a nice small town. The city's trying to revitalize the downtown area and it is slowly working. The people are very friendly and very religious. The HQ for one of the branches of the Church of God is in Cleveland as well as Lee University, a Church of God affiliated school. The public schools are okay, a little behind the times, but I heard Bill Gates donated a bunch of money to update the computer labs within the past few years. There's not a lot of crime, I never locked my car at night and we lived inside the city limits. Housing is really affordable. Culturally there's not a lot in Cleveland. You have to drive down to Chattanooga, about 30 min., for any major plays or art collections. Hope some of this helps. Let me know if it doesn't.
