Hello everyone! I'm new to the Tennessee forum and have a pretty general question to ask. Can anyone tell me where in Tennesse I could move to that gets a lot of snow in the winter and is a safe small town? I don't want a town that doesn't have any jobs or bad schools. I'm graduating with an accounting degree next year and I have 3 children in elementary school. I'm looking for somewhere with great schools but I also want to have lots of snow to play in. I used to live in NH and loved the amount of snow we got. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't think there is anywhere in TN that gets lots of snow.

Hi, this is the South. Nowhere in the South gets that much snow. You might be sorta happy with Boone NC but there's still not that much snow. Or jobs.

If you're dead set on Tennessee I guess Mountain City would work for precipitation, but not jobs. The unemployment rate there right now is around 15-16% I believe.

You are going to have to go further north than the state line to meet all of your requirements.

Yep. I'm from New England. New Hampshire snow is not in Tennessee. You're talking what? 80 to 100 inches a year? Not even remotely close.
