And yep, Amy really is selling the Bluebird.
By the way, if anyone wants to see one of the better movie about being a songwriter/making it in Nashville, watch A Thing Called Love. Part of it is set at the Bluebird. Most of the time the locals just roll their eyes about the movies about Nashville (such as Robert Altman's Nashville) but that one isn't so bad. Trust me, not everyone in Nashville is in the music business (or wants to be), nor do we regularly wear cowboy hats or rhinestone suits.

I LOVE that movie! River breaks my heart. What a waste. Samantha is quirky-fabulous, and how fun is it to see such a young Sandra Bullock? Remember the scene where they yell from the hospital rooftop?

Yeah, something about there being a tradition to yell, "Here I am Music City and I'm going to make it!"
If someone knows Nashville it's fun to pick out the quirks in the movie (not really blunders), like walking across Murfreesboro Road from Spence Manor Motel to the Bluebird, or when the main character takes a bus back home to NY or Boston and is actually heading towards Memphis on Hillsboro Road.

It's been a while since I watched that movie. I just requested it from the library.

That piece on GMA is emotional in and by itself. I guess pain can produce some powerful music.

Which reminds me. Have you seen the 1979 movie "Concrete Cowboys" with Tom Selleck, Jerry Reed and Morgan Fairchild?

I watched Kellie on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader the other night. I have not followed her career at all. Is she really as dumb as she was on that show??? I sure hope not, because if she is, my rock wall out front is alot smarter.
