Thanks. Does it have to be pedaled by two people or can one do it? Do they come in different sizes? Does it take much strength to pedal them? I've never seen small boats that you pedal.

mbmouse, Great pix!!! My friend and I were at Warriors last night, walking on the trail on Duck Island. It was such a perfect day and evening.

There were families exploring the side of the lake, groups of teenagers playing sand volleyball, kids riding bikes, a young couple in prom clothes having their picture taken, people walking their dogs, old men fishing ... all the sights and sounds of a beautiful spring day.

That new playground was especially built for handicapped children - everything being accessible for wheelchairs even.

Awesome pix, as usual! I bet most of the native east TNs / western NCians are at least somewhat Cherokee. I tie in to the eastern band through Glumdalclitch Shawheehou.

hmmm....Never seen a 1 person paddle boat...I guess one person could man the boat. It isn't that tough to peddle the ones I have been in. It would kinda be the same as one person in a canoe verse two.

They have paddle boats in other places ... I remember using one on a lake in Wisconsin. The ones I've seen are made for 2 people.

It's fun!

Ok, this convinces me we have to stay a few days at Warrior's Path SP...Tennessee has the very best state parks!

To answer someone else's question, I found this on the SP website:

Warriors' Path State Park was named for the park's proximity to the ancient war and trading path used by the Cherokee.

You've got that right! We are so blessed in Tennessee to have such beautiful countryside and a state government that is concerned with preserving it for everyone to enjoy.
