Favorite Cookeville Restaurant(s)
What is everyone's favorite restaurant(s) in Cookeville?
Mine are:
Pizza - Mamma Rosas
Atmosphere - Mauricio's
Specials - Thomas Andrews (try the Clayton's Pasta)
Chain - Puleo's
Donuts - Ralph's (of course!!)
Coffee- Starbucks
Home Cooking - Dipsy Doodle
Breakfast - Cracker Barrel (also like Rose Garden, but it is in Silver Point)
Maybe with some of your replies, I can try some new spots...

Café Trio
Great Harvest (it's a chain but I love the place)
Tai Ko
Sweet Sallie's
Char (new favorite)
Dolce Café
Bobby Q's
Poet's on the Square
Cookeville Boat Dock
I've heard good things about:
Christy's Café
Maddux Station

We tried Christy's and it is excellent for deli style sandwiches. For BBQ, we prefer Moogie's over Bobby Q. Spankies is good for drinks, but tends to be a little loud for a dinner atmosphere. Haven't tried the others you listed.

I've never tried Moogy's either but have heard it's really good. I happen to like peppery BBQ sauce so that's one reason I like Bobby Q's. They also have amazing banana pudding.
There's a brick oven pizza place on Lowe just south of Mama Rosa's that I've heard is good, too but have never tried it. I can't remember the name but I think it has the words "brick oven" in it.
I also really like Crawdaddy's which I forgot to mention earlier.
Have fun exploring and tasting!

No I haven't but I've been dying to try it! I grew to love those fish & steak houses that are everywhere in Mississippi and I hear the one at O'Connor Crossroads is just like the ones in Mississippi. I can't wait to try it!

Man, I was out at around 11:45 on Wednesday night delivering some work for my boss for the next morning and we drove by Crawdaddy's--that place was HOPPIN'. I was so surprised! Cookeville is not exactly a hotbed of activity at 11:45 on a Wednesday night.

I hear GoTen is pretty good. I have never been, though.
Spankies is good, and I like Thomas Andrews, too. I also like the Soup Kitchen.

I wouldn't mind seeing a family-style Greek restaurant, a buffalo wing place or someone opening up a homemade ice cream parlor at Cream City.
