Default Info on the Cumberland Plateau area?

Interested in the Cumberland Plateau area. What town should I consider. I have 3 boys ages 15,12, and 10 so schools are important. Also sports and water activities are important. Places close by to shop would help too. Also considering opening up a pizza business for income will it be a good place to start a new business. Thank You

Cookeville is the largest city on the Cumberland Plateau and also the fastest growing. It's within 30 minutes of three large, man-made lakes (Center Hill, Cordell Hull, and Dale Hollow). Putnam County has the highest-rated schools on the plateau. Cookeville is also a college town, so a pizza business would do well (college kids love pizza!). Even though Cookeville has only about 10 percent of the population of the Cumberland Plateau it has about 1/3 of the region's retail sales; it's packed with shopping centers.

I second what JMT said. The second largest town would be Crossville. But much more is available in Cookeville.

Crossville could use a good pizza joint. All we have is your fast food chain variety pizza.

Cookeville is where I would locate to start a business. As a retiree, I would probably choose McMinville.

Darn it. I misspelled McMinnville.
