Can someone tell me about Franklin? What's it like and which are the best schools?

There's already a few threads about Franklin. Go up to the Nashville section; you'll find one recent post on the top page of that forum.

And yes, you can find a nice house in Franklin for under $300k.

man.. there's been like 5 posts about Franklin. It's just a suburb outside nashville and it tends to be one of the pricier areas along with Brentwood. Som say it has that " small town feel", but yes- you will pay A LOT more to live there. But 300k is an astronomical amount of money here, so go ahead and knock yourself out.

Astronomical amount here?! Come on now. Relative.

There are some neighborhoods, like Falcon Creek, parts of Fieldstone Farms, etc., where you can still get in for under 300. Others like Cannonwood are 320-345 and just beautiful.

Try realtracs and look around.

As for the schools, they're all in either Williamson County or Franklin Special School District until High school, when it's all WCS.

Good luck!
