Man, it's posts like these that make me wish for a fast-forward button for the next 5 years! (Not really, I want to enjoy every day with my kids as they mature--after all, I did see "Click" and learned not to wish for a FF button lol!)

Here's a good one: the phone company, Frontier, installed our home and business lines and DSL all in one morning and they all work. Yeah, sure. What's gonna happen next; they'll all go out at one time and they'll claim it's our fault? And listen to this: the installers all introduced themselves and said thanks for the business! What did they REALLY mean?!
And what about the women with the southern accents; now that can’t be genuine. I mean, it simply isn’t possible to be that adorable all the time, now is it?
Yeah, things are definitely amiss and I intend to find out what’s going on—it’s giving me a headache. NOW where’d I put those pills!

I think you may want to run for the hills and crawl under a rock to get away from these people.

Hi happyappy,
I loved your post as well. Your post along with countless others I've seen over the last 6 weeks on this forum makes me want to pack up and leave for Tennessee right now. I am soooo looking forward to my trip to Tennessee in August. I'll be visiting the Monterey area as well. It will be great to see all of the friendly faces, the smiles, and to hear the southern accents again. I once had a southern accent, but I seemed to have lost it after living for years on the left coast. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up that accent again. I'm happy to hear that you are comfortable in the your new home. For someone like me who has lived more than 18 years on the left coast, Tennessee sounds like Heaven. I can only pray that the man upstairs lets me through the pearly gates.

Yeah, I know... it's really scary. I mean, even the drivers are courteous. You know, I think there's actually a thing called "community" in East TN. I'm not sure what this is, but whatever it is, it has to be dangerous - and contagious, too.

Yep, this is the place alright!
Thanks to all the well-wishers for the welcome!
I've made many moves in my life, but never felt so comfortable at such an early stage after my arrival. I'd say that I wish I'd moved here a very long time ago, but, really, I believe I'll appreciate what's here more now than I might have in the past. I'm over those stages at which one gives more importance to those things that don't deserve such high ratings.
We're ecstatic about being here!

Okay, Shadowwalker, we get it. You are unhappy. Some of us moved here and still love it. If you are not, then you should find where you are happy. Don't rain on this happy person's parade.
