Default visiting Dale Hollow area

Hi all,

I live in Nashville, and am planning an overnight trip up to DHL. Any recommendations on what part of the lake to focus on? We are mostly interested in hiking, canoeing, natural stuff - not so much speed boating or whatnot.

This trip will also serve as a very preliminary exploration of the area for the purchase of a recreational cabin, so any information on that front would be appreciated as well.

Cheers and thanks,

Thanks Tinman for those links. I actually had seen those before.

I was hoping for some personal opinions as well. Is there a particularly great part to go to? any areas of the lake nicer, any areas around nicer? better places to buy RE than others, etc.

again, thanks, and any other info you have much appreciated.

Default DHL input.

Hello,
We live near Sunset Marina and Restaurant off Hwy 111 at Byrdstown, TN. This part of the lake is great. Nice outdoor attractions nearby such as:
Obey River Corps of Engineers Campground
Cordell Hull Birthplace park, cave, and trails.
Standing Stone State Park is 40 mins away with nature trails, lake, cabins, camping, etc.

Also, some great deals on recreational cabins in this area. See Joanne Jordan with Peaveyhouse and Associates Real Estate on Cordell Hull Memorial Hwy. She was our agent and was great to work with and is very knowledgable about the area.

Hope this info helps. Have a safe trip and enjoy DHL.
