What to do this weekend in McMinnville?
I may be busy if I get all the events in this weekend in McMinnville.
The big one is Saturday and Sunday -- It's McMinnville's annual Highland Rim Cycle Classic. Over 400 bikers from several states and foreign countries will be here for the two day event. Last year I was behind them as they completed their 55 mile race loop. I did not see any of the short races.
You Hawk's Bluff people might want to come out to the Baker Mountain Road and watch them race down the mountain.
Other things for this weekend - there's a mud bog with those big wheel trucks on Harrison Ferry Mountain Saturday night. I'm not into that.
There is also the motorcycle 100 mile run here Saturday.
Band concert called "Pork and Bands" with bar-b-cue downtown, Saturday afternoon. Those cool classic cars will be there...I am going to be sure and see those...Also there's a dog show Saturday afternoon. Everything is free except the mud bog. Of course if you eat at the Pork and Bands you will have to pay...but viewing those classic cars as they cruise into downtown McMinnville...WOW! that's great.
Forgot the spring craft fair on Saturday...The Blackwood Brothers will be in town for a performance Friday night....Friday is the night everyone eats out and has steak or the catfish dinners. Thursday nights is bike night at a local establishment...the motorcycle riders cruise in and visit. Fishing is great at Rock Island State Park. So much to do in McMinnville -- where do I start?
