Airshow in Sparta on Saturday
Aviation history will come to life in the Upper Cumberland as a pair of World War II-era aircraft touchdown at Upper Cumberland Regional Airport on Highway 111 in Sparta Saturday. The Upper Cumberland Regional Airshow will run from 1pm until 4pm Saturday with the gates opening at 9am allowing everyone the opportunity to walk around and look at the aircraft on display.

Air Show Will Go On
The annual Upper Cumberland Air Show will go on, despite a week of heavy rainfall and even more showers predicted for this weekend. The show is set to hit the runway this Saturday, and there's high hopes wet weather won't ground any of the planes. See the story at the link below.

It looks like the rain didn't keep many people away. The Herald-Citizen is reporting that there were thousands of spectators at the air show. It looked like fun!

Supposedly this will become a bi-annual event in the future, rotating years with the Smyrna air show.
I don't doubt that it will become hugely popular as time goes on.
