Default Where in Tennessee should I move?

Hi! I currently in western NY but am thinking of moving to the Tennessee area in the next couple of years. I am 21 years old and will hopefully be graduating with a bachelors degree in education at the end of next year. I would like to go away for Grad school and am considering Tennesee. I was hoping to get some information on locations that would work for me.

I do not want to be in a large city but being outside of one would be fine. I have visited Johnson City (ETSU) and liked it there. I would like a town that is close to a college and somewhere that has a low cost of living etc...
Also, I have Spina Bifida which means that I am not able to walk at all and use a wheelchair. I am very independent but I need to live somewhere that is accessible and around people that would be accepting of my situation. So for example, it would be difficult to be somewhere that was extrememly hilly.
Any suggestions or opinions would be helpful! Thank you in advance!!

You might want to check out Murfreesboro, about 30 miles southeast of Nashville. Johnson City is beautiful, but East Tennessee is hilly. Although Middle Tennessee is known for its gently rolling hills, Murfreesboro is located in an area that is as flat as a pancake. It is home to MTSU (located in the flattest part of a flat town), which offers a wide range of graduate programs. Murfreesboro has grown rapidly for a decade, so most of the housing is fairly new and the neighborhoods are nice. The people are genuinely friendly. It's also only 30 minutes from Nashville, which has a well connected airport, is a regional medical center, and has more universities than I could list here.

I don't live in Murfreesboro. I'm recommending it based on what you are looking for, and not trying to boost my home town. Murfreesboro is a small town near a large city, it has a major university, is flat, and you'll love the people.
