I am interested in moving to the Knoxville area from Iowa to be closer to family. I have looked at many different areas. I have narrowed it down to Maryville and Oak Ridge. Which city has more mountanous area with scenic views. I am also wandering about crime, which of the two has the lesser crime and a decent high school. Any info would be great.

I grew up in Oak Ridge, and it should be noted that probably 95% of the crime there is concentrated in two or three areas that are well off the beaten path. If you move to Oak Ridge, you'll learn about "The Valley," and you'll have no reason ever to be there.

Oak Ridge's high school is one of the best public schools in the nation, and it's in the process of expanding to include world-class science labs, a new state-of-the-art gym and updated facilities all over.

PM if you have any more questions.
