Does anyone know what the Utility Company for Niota, TN is? We are in McMinn County, not in the City of Niota. I need to contact about electric. Actually I need the phone company and gas company as well.

I'm just down the road from where you will be and I have Sweetwater Utilities for electric, not sure excatly where the Athens and Sweetwater Utility line is
TDS is the only choice for phone then you get a choice of long distance or stay with TDS 423-887-7311
if your meaning like a tank in the back yard for gas for heat, there is a few choices, I have Suburban 423-745-5143 on congress parkway
my brother in law had them but changed to something else, don't know the name of it but I can ask him if you want.
if your going to drill a well, the best people are Morgans 423-745-2576

The plan is to leave in June after school lets out. I can hardly wait. I'm a little nervious because I have lived here all my life. But I do know that FL is getting worse and is not the place I grew up in. I can't even imagine what this place will be like in another 10-20 years. It will look like a different country.
And I have my granddaughter to think about. I want to be able to keep her busy in sports, dance, whatever I can do to keep her busy. She wants a horse so we are going to check that out too. We are thinking about building a few stables to board a few horses. And that will help pay for the horse.
When I was a kid I walked all over the place. There is NO WAY that I would allow her to walk anywhere by herself now or ever.
And I can't afford to retire in FL. The property taxes, mortgage, insurance (car & home) doesn't leave very much to survive on.
We want a better life for our granddaughter and ourselves.

Please forgive my mistake as listing Athens, TN 37303 as our Utility company.
We do pay Niota, TN 37826. 37826 is Niota, also Mc Minn county.
I got confused since the waterlines being placed or already placed are installed by Athens, and the water bill will be paid to Athens. We have a well and presently do not utilize city water.
Please, once again, forgive my mistake.
