Where did this one happen? I caught it on the tv news the other day, but the news people (here in SC, typically confused) at one point said it was on hwy 64 at a moment later said it was from the slide on I 40.

They showed that several times on TV the other day. The cameraman is braver than I would be.

More details of this news article.
TENNESSEE -- A highway in East tennessee remains closed Wednesday after a second rock slide Tuesday.
Large boulders cover both sides of U.S. Highway 64 in Polk County near the Ocoee River.
Crews were still clearing the highway Tuesday afternoon after an early morning rock slide. A geologist surveying damage from that first rock slide warned crews another one was coming.
Literally minutes later truck-sized boulders came crashing down the mountain along the same stretch of highway.

Ok, I am really dumb. When I see signs warning of rock slides, I think of a few rocks not the side of a mountain. That is crazy. Thank goodness no one got hurt.

That's why they have the industrial screen on the hills... and the Jersey barricades along the road way.. But in this case it did very little to slow the slide.. I would not travel I-40 after a quick thaw or weeks of rain if it was my choice I would find a alternate route... North or South if possible...
It's mother nature saying... wake up. I agree... with several others. Glad no one got hurt....
