Auburntown and Watertown would be great choices. Rural, rolling hills, farmland. Close enough to big towns of Murfreesboro from Auburntown and Lebanon from Watertown. Nashville is also close enough. Great fishing and other activities at Center Hill Lake not too far away. Yes ~ for rural living with all the big city advantages just minutes away. Auburn or Water, either Town would be great.

I was watching Tennessee Crossroads (a local PBS production) this morning. They were doing a segment on a glass blower in Watertown. The gentleman mentioned that he learned about Watertown from a book that listed it as one of the best small art towns in the US.

Thanks,
we are looking for a semi rural area as we live in a sub division on the west coast of Florida I have been here all my life and have watched the change for 39 years. The biggest thing I am looking for in relocating is to have enough land that we will not be on top of everyone. As I read the post here I don't think it will be hard to adjust as Florida was once southern. I plan on renting a small house/apartment for one year until my wife and daughter can join me. I plan to look all over before buying however this area looks very nice and 40 ac. will fit in my budget. |
