Default car sales tax question

I've found so much of the information here useful and appreciate it. I'm hoping, though, to find an answer to a question I haven't found answered elsewhere (though I might have missed it!)

I'm moving to Tennessee (Memphis) from Texas later this summer (July) and had been already planning to buy a new car this summer. Now I'm wondering if I should wait until I get to Tennessee to buy. I'm worried I might have to pay the sales tax twice (in both Texas and Tennessee). Is this right? Or would I only have to pay Tennessee the difference (since TN sales tax is higher than TX)? I'd rather buy here in TX where I know the dealers, as well as generally preferring to make the drive in a new car. But I'd rather not pay the taxes twice! Any advice or information would be much appreciated.

Question 90 day rule ..??

S.H. : I think we did have identical question far down the board 3 or 4 months ago, from a guy in Mississippi. One other member stated any two states review new purchases within the 1st 90 days moving to a new TITLE state.
Again this is just my memory , and not in any business. Sort of makes sence, so balance out the savings and have valid plates for a 90 day period.?
