Hello everyone

I have been looking to move to tennessee. I have been looking in the Tri-cities area and a couple counties near cookeville. There have been a couples counties that have caught my eye which were hawkins, greene, van buren, dekalb, and jackson counties.

i was wondering which of these couties would be the best for:
1.close to a lot of work in construction
2.great education for my children
3.a place with a lot of privacy

Thank you for your help!

I only know about the two eastern counties you mentioned and in Hawkins and Greene Counties you will find privacy and pretty good schools, (not the best but good) and there is some construction going on there but I wouldn't say "a lot" and nothing is very close together, you will have to drive a bit to get anywhere. Greene County is one of the largest counties (if not the largest?) but not near the population of say Washington County so everything is a bit spread out.
Hope that helps.

I am actually located close to Hawkins and in my opinion it is a very nice place to be. The education is what you make of it. If you don't like the public schools there are private and also the drive is no longer than 30 to 45 mins to get anywhere you really need to be. There is actually quiet a bit of construction going on in Claiborne County and there is also some in Rutledge. I think it is some of the nicest country around.
