Lefty's Lefty's Lefty's

Lefty's Bar-B-Q
Fairfield Glade, on Peavine Road.

AMAZING! And super-cheap.

Bobby Q's in Cookeville (North Washington Ave near the university) was featured in Family Circle magazine and also in a recent episode of Tennessee Crossroads. It is GOOOOOOD.

I second bbkarens choice, nothing fancy, good BBQ, friendly people, hot or mild sauce in a ketchup type bottle.

In far east Tennessee, in the Bluff City area, we have Ridgewood bbq- famous local awesome place.

You do know, don't you, that you put cole slaw on the sandwich - between the meat and the top of the bun. I hope you know that. It's the BEST!

We went to Lefty's twice. One was an "off" time (maybe a Sunday or Tuesday night?), and the other was prime time (Friday night around 7).

I got the chicken once, and the ribs once. The chicken was killer--I ate everything that didn't crunch! The ribs were good, but I felt like they were a little dry, mainly because the place was packed and I think they were understaffed that night.

The onion rings are not to be missed. They're so sweet, they're like apple rings. Unbelievable.

And the cobbler is great too. Right now they're still using canned fruit so out of apple, peach, cherry, and blackberry, I recommend the blackberry. It was great! I had that and the apple--the apples were, well, very canned.
